For the first time in Ukraine, an active pharmaceutical ingredient based on medical cannabis has been officially registered, according to News.telegraf.
The medication in question is oral drops produced by the Spanish company Curaleaf. As clarified by the Ukrainian Medical Cannabis Association, the medication will be available in Ukrainian pharmacies in the near future.
It should be noted that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine previously legalized the use of medical cannabis. According to the legislation, such medications do not contain psychoactive substances and can be used to treat various illnesses.
The registration of this medication marks an important step in introducing innovative treatment methods and advancing Ukraine's pharmaceutical market.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Verkhovna Rada had legalized cannabis.
