The National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" has finalized a tender worth over 23 million hryvnias to provide security for 2025. This includes both physical security of the premises and technical security measures, such as alarm and security systems. The information was reported by the publication Kyiv Vlada.
Specifically, services for the year, valued at 23,833,410.02 hryvnias, will be provided by the Kyiv Security Police Department. The procurement was conducted without a bidding process.
Previously, the Accounting Chamber of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine published an audit report stating that the Ministry of Culture had failed to ensure full compliance with the proper use of budgetary funds for the Reserve’s operations. The report revealed that of the 556.4 million hryvnias allocated between 2020 and 2023, 29.5 million hryvnias were used “inefficiently and uneconomically”.
As reported by the UOJ, a court hearing was held in Kyiv regarding the eviction of monks from the Lavra.
