The Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (also known as the Istanbul Convention) is an international agreement of the Council of Europe that has been open for signature since 2011. It is causing widespread concern among Christians in Europe that, under the guise of combating domestic violence, opens the way to the destruction of traditional beliefs about gender.
