The participants in the meeting of the OCU Synod on February 2 “expressed a request” to the Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church to consider the issue of ex-communication of the two “hierarchs” of the UOC-KP from the Church, reports the OCU site.
“Given the new crimes committed against the sacred canons, the Synod expressed a request to the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church of Greece to consider the issue of ex-communication of Auxentius Marinis and George (Chrysostomos) Kallis from the Church,” the text says.
According to the OCU, “followers of the old calendar schism from Greece are not in church communion with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (OCU – Ed.) and under no circumstances will they be accepted into such communion.”
As previously reported, Filaret appointed the Exarch of the UOC-KP to Greece.
