OCU activists fail to seize UOC temple in Yasynia, Transcarpathian region

On April 30, 2022, supporters of the OCU tried to seize the church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Yasynia town, Transcarpathian region, the UOJ correspondent reports.

Archpriest Vitaly Kemin, dean of the Yasynia district of the Khust diocese of the UOC, said that the OCU raiders brought their activists to the territory of the temple and began to break down the doors of the temple.

There were 10-15 members of the Orthodox community of the UOC inside the temple and on the street.

However, the police arrived and were able to push the raiders away from the church.

As previously reported by the UOJ, the community of the St. Nicholas church in Prislop village confirmed their loyalty to the UOC.
