17 people evacuated from Sviatogorsk Lavra
On September 1, 17 people were evacuated from the Sviatogorsk Lavra, a monastery located on the front line and constantly under fire. All of them took refuge in the monastery from the war, the Sviatogorsk city military administration reports on its Facebook page.
Civilians were taken out of the Lavra with the participation of the Kramatorsk administration, the Sviatogorsk administration, representatives of the SBU, the State Emergency Service and military personnel.
At present, all people are safe.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that, according to the abbot of the Sviatogorsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseniy, only a few people want to leave the monastery, the remaining several hundred people plan to stay there.
