Putin blames the West for Satanism and quotes the Gospel

Speaking in the Kremlin on September 30, 2022, at the ceremony of "the admission of new territories to Russia," Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West of acquiring the features of Satanism.

"The dictatorship of Western elites is directed against all societies, including the peoples of Western countries themselves. This is a challenge to everyone, the complete denial of human, the subversion of faith and traditional values, the suppression of freedom, which acquires the features of an opposite religion – outright Satanism," Putin said.

The Russian president compared the policies of Western countries to the "poisonous fruits" mentioned in the Gospel.

"Denouncing false prophets in the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ said: 'By their fruits you will know them.’ These poisonous fruits are now obvious to people not only in our country – in all countries, including many people in the West," he said.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Patriarch Kirill commented on the mobilization in Russia.
