Nearly 500 youth take part in milestone summer sessions in Oklahoma.

KINGSTON, OK — Camp St. Raphael (affectionately known as “Camp YABOY!”) wrapped up its 25th season this summer with three weeklong sessions held June 22, June 29, and July 6, drawing nearly 500 campers from the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America. Each session hosted about 160 campers and 40 staff members and volunteers.

The Morning Program focused on the life of the Theotokos, paired with daily activities ranging from “Ask Abouna” Q&A sessions to a prison ministry service project and creative crafts. Afternoons brought energetic sports like angleball, pickleball, and basketball, as well as spirited mid-week Color Wars between red, blue, pink, and purple teams. Evenings featured themed events including “neon night,” “video games come to life,” “serenade night,” and the camp’s beloved hafli.

Camp administrators expressed gratitude for their host site, Cross Point Camp in Kingston, and look forward to building on the program’s legacy in the years ahead.

More information and photos from the camp can be found here.

Previously, UOJ reported that registration is open for the Antiochian Diocese of Miami and the Southeast's fall retreat.
