In Kherson diocese of the UOC believers will cover 33 kilometers
In Kherson diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church there will take place a traditional Cross Procession under the Chaplinka – Askaniya-Nova route. It is reported by the diocesan site.
On 16 July, from the church of the Birth of John the Baptist of Chaplinka town, after the Divine Liturgy, there will begin a 33-kilometer Cross Procession. The faithful will depart from Chaplinka town – Askaniya-Nova and move along villages Novoye, Nadezhdovka, Dolinskoye, Krestovka, Ilyinka, Molochnoye.
At all roadside memorial crosses there will be held moleben prayers for peace in our country.
On 17th July a night vigil and a Divine Liturgy will take place in one of the churches.
All participants of the Cross Procession will be able to have confession and Communion. The Procession will be led by the dean of Chaplinka circuit protopriest John Kaninets.
