Believers from Volyn dispatched humanitarian aid to Sviatogorsk Lavra
Upon an initiative of the priests of Rozhishche deanery of Volyn diocese, the faithful for the second time have collected and sent humanitarian aid for refugees to the Holy DormitionSviatogorsk Lavra which had taken in the refugees. It is reported by the Awareness-Raising Department of the UOC.
The first donation batch was collected during the Lenten and was personally delivered by the diocesan clerics – Dmitry Teravskiy and Alexander Gryniuk. This time donations were dispatched in the last days of June. The priests undertook another trip to the East and delivered the aid – foods and clothes for those in need.
It is to be reminded that nearly 5 thousand people, from whom over 500 are children, found shelter in Sviatogorsk and receive care from the monastery’s brethren.
