President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised that no one else would make the Ukrainian alien in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

In his traditional evening address, congratulating "everyone who is celebrating today" on Christmas, Zelenskyy noted that "this day has already become historic for Ukraine, for the spiritual independence of our people."

“Today I was glad to see how many people, how many of our soldiers came to the service of God in the temple of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra – in the holy place being one of the origins of the Ukrainian cultural tradition,” the President said.

In his opinion, “it is very important that a sincere prayer for Ukraine has been and will be heard in the Lavra today, and that no one else will alienate the Ukrainian in the Lavra.”

“Ukrainian independence must be strong in all its elements and will be so forever. We ensure it with you. Moreover, it is very important to continue to cherish the mood we were in today – the mood of joy from the strengthening of Ukraine and from the achievement of historical justice,” the head of state said.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the names of the bishops of the UOC, whom Volodymyr Zelenskyy deprived of citizenship, became known.
