Premises that housed a UOC church is for sale in Novovolynsk

In Novovolynsk, a premises previously rented by a house church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) has been put up for sale. The property, located at: 41 Shakhtarskyi neighborhood is being sold through an online auction.

According to information on the National Electronic Exchange website, the starting price of the lot is 3,801,589 UAH. The premises have an area of 351.6 square meters and are listed on the balance sheet of Housing and Utilities Management No. 1. In April 2023, the Novovolynsk City Council decided to terminate the lease agreement with the UOC and ban its activities within the community.

As reported by the UOJ, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has opened a case regarding the pressure exerted by the Volyn authorities on the UOC.
