Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick to Offer Public Retreat in Kemp, TX

Fr. Andrew will offer two talks: "What Does Idolatry Have to Do with Christianity?" and "The Resurrection Arc of the Bible".
KEMP, TX — On Saturday, August 2, Fr. Andrew Stephen Damick is offering a public retreat at the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ Monastery in Kemp, Texas.
The event begins at 9:30 AM and goes until 3 PM.
Fr. Andrew will deliver two talks: What Does Idolatry Have to Do with Christianity? and The Resurrection Arc of the Bible.
The event will conclude with a Q&A. Lunch is included.
The event is free, but the Monastery asks that guests consider a donation of $20 to cover the cost of holding the event.
Donations over $20 will go towards helping the monastery build a chapel for their cemetery.

The Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ Monastery belongs to the Diocese of the South for the Orthodox Church in America. It was was activated as a monastic community in 2009 by Archbishop Dmitri and Metropolitan Jonah of the OCA. The 12-acre property consists of a farm house (hosting the current sister’s quarters and St. Nicholas Chapel) and a recently renovated meeting and retreat center.
