On October 1, 2025, the Kyiv District Administrative Court accepted a lawsuit from Team of the Orthodox Journalists against Ukraine's National Center to challenge the unlawful blocking of their website, marking the fifth such block in Ukraine, with the case set for a simplified review.

KYIV — On October 1, 2025, the Kyiv District Administrative Court opened administrative case No. 320/48298/25, brought by “Team of the Orthodox Journalists (TOJ) Ltd.” against the National Center for Operational and Technical Management of Electronic Communication Networks of Ukraine.

The court accepted the lawsuit, which seeks to declare the blocking order unlawful and have it overturned. The case will be reviewed under a simplified procedure, without a hearing, based on the submitted materials.

Previously, the Ukrainian website of the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ) was blocked for the fifth time in Ukraine following a demand from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), with access now possible only via VPN.

The Bulgarian and American UOJ websites are also blocked in Ukraine.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the court opened a case on the UOJ's lawsuit against the authorities regarding the blocking of the site in Bulgaria.
