Masked group torches cars, paints racist graffiti in sixth such incident in recent months.

TAYBEH — Another act of vandalism against a Christian community in Palestine was committed early on Dec. 5, when a group of masked settlers attacked the village of Taybeh near Ramallah, according to Israelinfo.

Palestinian sources report that the perpetrators set fire to two cars belonging to the Basir family and sprayed racist slogans on nearby homes. Villagers managed to repel the attackers before they fled. The incident occurred on the eve of the village’s Christmas market, which draws diplomats and local residents.

Taybeh is one of the few Palestinian villages with a Christian majority across various denominations. Media outlets note that this marks the sixth similar attack in recent months, prompting human rights groups to warn about rising religiously motivated violence in the region.

Previously, UOJ reported that an American citizen was beaten to death by Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
