The church rector called the police.
On the night of December 5–6, in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, vandals smashed icons on the walls of the UOC’s Church of St. Barbara. According to the press service of the Kremenchuk Diocese, parishioners discovered the damage on Friday morning.
"Church property was damaged, specifically the church icons located on the external wall of the church building were smashed. The church rector, Archpriest Oleksandr Yurkovskyi, called the police to document the criminal actions," the statement said.
According to the diocesan press service, the perpetrators have not yet been found.
As the UOJ previously reported, in Novosilky, OCU activists disposed of icons and books from a seized church as trash.
