Russian Drone Kills UOC Archimandrite in Kharkiv Region

The clergyman was 68 years old.
BABAI — On July 15, 2025, as a result of a Russian drone strike, Archimandrite Peter (Krivitsky), a monk of the “Quick to Hear” Monastery in the village of Babai, Kharkiv Diocese, was killed, according to the diocese’s official website.
The clergyman was 68 years old. He spent most of his life as a protopriest, serving at the Ascension Church in Zolochiv, the Archangel Michael Church in the village of Murafa, the St. Nicholas Church in Liubotyn, and the St. Nicholas and Transfiguration churches in Kharkiv.
In 2024, Fr. Peter was tonsured a monk.
The ruling bishop, clergy, and faithful of the Kharkiv Diocese deeply mourn the passing of Archimandrite Peter and offer prayers to the Lord for the repose of his soul.
Previously, UOJ reported that the St. Nicholas Cathedral of the UOC in Myropillya was destroyed as a result of shelling.
