Florida to End All Vaccine Mandates

“Every vaccine mandate is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery!” said Florida surgeon general Joseph Ladapo.
TALLAHASSEE — Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo announced the state will eliminate all vaccine mandates, including for schoolchildren, to resounding applause at a Wednesday news conference. Joined by Governor Ron DeSantis, Ladapo unveiled the Florida Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission, aimed at promoting medical freedom and transparency.
“Every vaccine mandate is wrong and drips with disdain and slavery!” Ladapo declared, emphasizing individual choice. “Your body is a gift from God. No one has the right to dictate what goes into it.” Currently, Florida parents must seek religious or medical exemptions for their children.
The MAHA Commission will focus on clean food, chronic disease prevention, and restoring trust in healthcare, DeSantis explained. It will prioritize individual rights, informed consent, and market innovation while reducing regulatory burdens.
This move contrasts with states like Massachusetts, where proposed laws would end religious exemptions for school vaccines. Florida’s push follows growing skepticism toward vaccines, fueled by concerns over COVID-19 shots and their development using aborted fetal cells, reigniting moral and health debates nationwide.
